My Story
In early 2023 I decided to try and make myself some Bath Bombs. I purchased the ingredients and hey presto, I had made them and were successful in the bath. It was an enjoyable project so I made more for myself, partner and family.
As time went on, I found myself researching more into bath bombs and bath products a lot more. Through all this, I was reading about how so many people were going back to using ‘natural‘ products.
It was at this time I decided to start my own business. I researched into natural ingredients and finding trusted suppliers who, could supply me with exactly what I needed to be able to hand make natural bath / cosmetic products for the consumer.
I started to a set up my business in June 2023. I was making products, getting a Website built, basically getting everything I needed and, registering my documents on the Government Website so I was fully compliant, and in-keeping with regulations pertaining to my products.
Excitement was kicking in over the following months and in late September 2023 I was all ready and set to go live. Website done, products made, Craft Fairs and Christmas Fairs all booked in when sadly, my partner was diagnosed with Cancer. I cancelled everything, nothing else mattered, he had to have major surgery which was being performed far from home and I went with him and stayed close by and then brought him home, he needed looking after in his recovery.
Once my partner had fully recovered in February 2024, I then picked up where I had left off. I am now in my second year with my business, have expanded my range of products and I am now recognised by the ‘Guild of Craft Soap & Toiletry Makers.’
It’s hard work doing everything yourself and working full time in another company as well but, it’s enjoyable hard work, especially when you hear people put you in a good comparison with a ‘Spa’ or ‘it smells like ‘The Body Shop’ in here!
